A Perfect Engagement Invitation at Wedding Paper Divas

Celebrating a couple's engagement is a great way to show your love for your friends. A lot of people tend to think that someone else will step up and take care of the party and quite soon you'll find that no one has thrown an engagement party and the window of opportunity has passed. So buckle down and send out those engagement party invitations and start planning! Engagement parties don't have to be complicated or difficult, a fun gathering of the happy couple's friends and family is the perfect goal to aim for. If your engaged friends haven't registered for gifts yet, this is a good time to encourage them to do so or to ask if they want people to make donations to a charity in their name. Be sure to include this request or gift information on the engagement party invitations so that all of the guests will be prepared accordingly. Engagement party invitations can be almost anything that you want them to be, you can go for a classy and elegant look or tailor make something that will suit your friends perfectly. We have wording ideas for wedding invitations if you need some samples to look at. Remember to save one invitation for your newly engaged friends as they may want to save all wedding memorabilia for a scrapbook.

Customer reviews of our Engagement Party Invitations

"We ordered these for our engagement party and are really happy with how they turned out. After we ordered, we were sent an email to proof read everything and with a suggestion to change the wording of the date- which I thought was really helpful. The cards arrived on time and look great, we went with a slightly upgraded paper quality (which I would recommend) but everything was just the way we wanted. We're now ordering our save the dates the same way!"

"I was so impressed with my invites when I received them in the mail recently. Buying anything over the net you always run the risk that they won't look very nice or be very good quality when they arrive. But this was not the case with these. They looked exactly the same if not better. The colours are great, printing fantastic and the stationery is exceptional quality. I only went the standard card stock but it was very thick and generous. I went for a scalloped edge which made these invites look even cuter. A perfect match for my engagement party styling. Love them! I ordered them online one week and received them the next. Very fast delivery!"

"This card not only gets the message across in a romantic way, but you allow your guest to get to know you a bit better, and understand your personality by the picture you choose. Words are legible and they stand out when all is done. GREAT CARD!"

"who pays" is always an awkward conversation

I think in this day and age, a lot of brides and grooms are paying their own way. Another poster brought up a good point that sometimes it comes down between the wedding or the down payment on a house. Fortunately, it worked out in my and hubby's favor and we were able to do both in the same year, and did get help from our families on the wedding. But we paid for a lot of it ourselves.
My husband's parents paid for the rehearsal dinner, the church fees and church-related flowers, wedding programs, and my bouquet. They also hosted an engagement party and a jack and jill shower type thing for us

If it is a fancy venue, then it may be appropriate to have a black-tie event, but if it is a casual venue, it is not necessary to wear something so fancy as a ball-gown or a tuxedo.
