Batch Nashville recently launched “Batch Weddings, ” the perfect way to create a perfect selection of local goods, custom picked just for your wedding. A great way to say thank-you to those who have traveled so far to be with you and your fiance on your big day, Batch Weddings can be designed to fit any budget. Their pricing even includes a free monogram stamp and free delivery to local hotels and venues. How great is that?

Starting in September 2013, Batch Nashville began sending Batch boxes to subscribers. Based on a monthly theme, each Batch goes out to subscribers once a month. “Rise and Shine, ” the very first Batch which is still available for purchase, includes coffee beans from Garage Coffee Company, pancake mix from My Friend Who Loves to Cook, local honey from TruBee, and oatmeal from Haulin’ Oats. Rise and Shine was featured in the March issue of Southern Living magazine’s article on Batch Nashville.

Launched this month was the “Tour of the South, ” a six month special edition of Batch Nashville featuring a new city’s local fare each month. Included cities are Nashville, Charleston, Atlanta, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Austin. Batch Nashville hopes to grow into other cities, focusing on the local culture and feel of each city, captured in each Batch box. In fact, Batch Memphis just launched in January, and is now available for subscription. The Tour of the South will introduce subscribers to premium local goods and hand-crafted items from our fellow Southern cities.

One idea

Event production or event marketing. Corporate events, tradeshows, conferences, association meetings, hotel rentals, etc. (Not to mention arts festivals, concerts, etc. although it sounds like you're burnt out on that.) You have experience in marketing, dealing with VIPs, budgets, those are all good skills. If this sounds at all interesting, I would start by looking into Meeting Planners International (do a google search) and attending some local events, set up some informational interviews to see if this might work. Then you might volunteer somewhere like doing marketing for a non-profit or fundraiser, to prove your skills are transferable and get new contacts
